Whether it’s grandma’s birthday, silver wedding anniversary, first communion or Christmas party – grandma’s kitchen Freiburg offers the perfect setting for convivial festivities of all kinds. Thanks to spacious rooms, up to 100 people can enjoy themselves in a relaxed atmosphere, and in the summer months our sunny terrace with a secluded chestnut garden invites you to linger. Grandma’s Restaurant

The strikingly curved vault, enthroned on columns, is the architectural heart of grandma’s kitchen. Artfully illuminated by an antique chandelier and candlelight, you can celebrate here in an informal, cozy ambience with up to 60 people. The down-to-earth mix of natural stone, wood and earthy tones generates typical Baden cosiness, while the view of the Old Wiehrebahnhof and the Sternwald promises decelerating views for up to 60 people.

Fancy some privacy? Then grandma’s wood-panelled parlour is the ideal venue for your intimate family or company celebration with up to 40 people! Depending on the size of your group, we will set a large table or individual tables, place a buffet put together according to your individual wishes or spoil you à la carte. Nestled between Grandma’s Restaurant and Grandma’s Terrace, you can enjoy both views and direct access to our intimate chestnut garden.

Grandma’s Terrace

On grandma’s secluded terrace, the Wiehre presents itself from its picturesque side. Sun worshippers make themselves comfortable at the tables along the façade, and the garden, framed by old chestnut trees, attracts with shady spots for small and large groups. Always there: the decelerating view of the treetops of the Sternwald and the listed Wiehrebahnhof, which presents itself every Wednesday and Saturday as a historical backdrop for the local farmers’ market.
